Germany leads Group D after beat Ghana Wednesday night for put the round of 16 large. The two countries went into determination game and yielded few scoring chances.
Mesut Ozil a hero of Germany scored on a left-footed bring Der Panzer at the top of the standings with six points from three matches.
Despite the defeat, Ghana also advanced to the round of 16 — taking second place in the group with four points. Australia also finished with four points, but Ghana was ahead on goal differential.
