Sneider beautiful goals put a Champions League semi-final against Barcelona

**Wesley Sneijder’s sixth minute direct kick goal left CSKA needing three goals, drastically changing the complexion of the tie. Almost immediately after the goal, Internazionale ceded possession to CSKA and concentrated on defending while probing the Muscovites on the counter. That formula was enough to give the Italian champions a 1-0 victory.

Sneijder’s goal came after a foul was given 23 meters out, even with Igor Akinfeev’s left post. The midfielder’s right-footed shot was slid under the jumping CSKA wall. His view obstructed, Akinfeev got a late read on the ball and could only stick his left leg out to try and stop the shot. Though he got a piece of the ball, Akinfeev was unable to prevent the vital Inter goal.

Final results the 2-0 aggregate score means Jose Mourinho becomes the first manager to lead three different clubs to the Champions League semi-finals, and sends Inter into the last four for the first time since 2003.
