Wayne Rooney came off the bench to head Manchester United's winner in the Carling Cup.

**Manchester United successfully defend Carling Cup title. In the final, Manchester United 2-1 Aston Villa bow after first miss.

MU behind quickly after James Milner makes Villa led directly to the 5th minute of the match in Wembley, Sunday (28.2.2010). Michael Owen returned quickly to equalize even at the end of the first half he had to be pulled out.

MU immediately slapped in the early second round. Four minutes of the game goes, Michael Carrick fired a shot which Friedel had to rescue neat.

At the 64 minute turn-looking Rafael injury. The result also revealed Gary Neville to replace him in the 66th minute. It's been two changes made the MU while Villa have not at all.
