**Bordeaux reached the quarter-finals of the European Cup for the first time in 22 years, beating Olympiakos 2-1 after goals from Yoann Gourcuff and Marouane Chamakh. Gourcuff put Bordeaux ahead in the fifth minute but Olympiakos leveled midway through the second half through substitute Kostas Mitroglou. The visitors looked the better side until Chamakh scored with a brilliant header in the 88th as Bordeaux advanced 3-1 on aggregate.
