- Babel 40,
- Gerrard 57
**Liverpool FC came from behind to beat FC Unirea Urziceni 3-1 on the night and 4-1 on aggregate to book a place in the UEFA Europa League round of 16.
Unirea grabbed the first goal of the evening when a Frunza corner found an unmarked Joao Bruno Fernandes rose unmarked about 10 yards out to send a powerful header into the net, who headed in from close-range to put the Romanian side level on aggregate.
Gerrard take across headed it back to Babel, whose reactions were sluggish and allowed Unirea to scramble it out to the edge of the box. However, Javier Mascherano from long-range surged on to it and spanked it into the net beat Unirea keeper Giedrius Arlauskis comprehensively from 30 yards.
Ryan Babel fired Liverpool in front in the 40th minute, a Gerrard free-kick only to see out-of-favor Dutch winger Ryan Babel prod it in from close range, giving the Reds a 2-1 lead. He's played well so far and that was a lovely finish from seven yards.
But the visitors effectively secured their passage to the next round with Liverpool captain Gerrard found the back of the net, firing a shot into the bottom left-hand corner from just inside the box, giving the Reds a 4-1 lead on aggregate.
Until the end of the fight no longer a goal created and Liverpool won with a score of 3-1.
